A look on Egypt



officially the Arab Republic of Egypt, is a country in North Africa that includes the Sinai Peninsula, a land bridge to Asia. Covering an area of about 1,001,450 square kilometers (386,560 square miles), Egypt borders Libya to the west, Sudan to the south, and Israel and the Gaza Strip to the northeast; on the north and the east are the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea, respectively.

Egypt is a place where you will find lots of ancient structures like pyramids and pharaohnic structure and where the intoxicating culture and vibrant energy of modern-day Cairo touches your soul. Other greatest attraction is Nile River which flows through Egypt which is very beautiful and scenic.

The origin of the word " Egypt" or " MISR"

Here is some points of views I receive from experts: - Egypt is a Greek corruption - Aigyptos, derived from the native Het-Ka-Ptah, which means house of spirit ptah.
